Untitled, a love song

This poem I write to a girl that
I will forever cherish in my heart.
From the start I have known
You are surely the one for me.

When I look in your pupils, I think
of the moon, in all of its splendor,
and I yearn to rendor the two pools
of your eyes on Microsoft Paint - some day.

The most beautiful waterfall in
the world rivals not your flowing hair,
and dare I ask to hold you
in my arms and smell its golden scent?

A word, a laugh from your lips
fills my soul with tremendous joy;
a little boy I am again and
no pow'r on Earth can make me sad.

Even when sleeping you defeat
my forces of doom and despair - in chess;
it is best that we play no more
lest I should be embarassed.

When we discuss the larger things
in life, I marvel at your deep thoughts;
you ought to write them down in a book
and sell it much overpriced for profits.

You, - girl of my dreams and keeper
of all that I hope and care for,
are much more than I shall ever
deserve to call my own and dearest.

Ending now is this, a love song
extracted from my deepest feelings,
and I hope it reveals to you
the great woman that you are to me.

Ah, the Poetics.
