Well, the other day I was sitting in my room watching daytime television, and lo and behold The Price is Right was on. And as I was watching, I began thinking about the show. First of all, it is amazing how excited the viewers on the show become when their name is called as the next contestant. It's unlikely that they will win anything at all; no one (almost) is actually going to watch when their episode is aired.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen The Price is Right begin or end. This disturbing fact would make one wonder if The Price is Right is an incessant, continuous program which runs all day long. In fact, it is possible that The Price is Right was in existance before the Earth itself.

And how long has Bob Barker been the host? He is probably approaching 120 years of age, and some have speculated that he is old enough to have been one of the original Greek gods (maybe even Zeus)! Anyway, The Price is Right might be the most painful daytime programming, other than soap operas. If local TV stations across the nation want more viewers, they should drop The Price is Right and put on old Jeopardy! reruns on instead. That'd get me to watch, anyway.
