Ernest Hemingway

Hemingway is awesome as a writer and as himself. He embodied the American "heck yeah I'm gonna go get it" spirit. The Old Man and the Sea, thought short and viewed by some as stupid, is cool to the core. Since Hemingway hated adjectives and other descriptions, his writing doesn't get boring; instead, you get the same message in about 200 pages less. [Unfortunately, Hemingway shot himself in the mouth with a shotgun one day and was from that point on unable to write any more books. In fact, he couldn't do much of anything, because he was dead.] Hemingway glorified war. He lived out his idea of the baddest dude: a warrior with a love for the outdoors, fishing, and good alcohol. Hemingway worked pretty steady hours for a writer. In conclusion: go read The Old Man and the Sea!
