No. Alcaholism is a self developed habbit formed by choice. A disease is haphasardly passed from one person to another like the T-virus. While alcaholism will leave you dazed and sick with eventually give you a liver problem or two, the T-virus will turn you into a mindless zombie within a couple of hours. If you ask me, being a zombie is much worse than getting drunk. Also when your drunk you don't try to bite your loved ones on the neck and infect every living soul around you.
